Echo Junkies Manifesto

The debut album by Echo Junkies is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the summer of 67, the summer of LOVE, the summer of GUITAR.

Jon St. James and Skip Hahn are forever ingrained with the musical truths of that summer. If the Echo Junkies CD plays like a soundtrack, it's not by accident. Hahn and St. James paint their music landscapes with a broad palette of analog colors, seasoned with digital tools. Distinctive English/American guitar licks are embedded in tunes inspired by 60's Rock, Folk, Blues, Jazz and European movie themes. All the elements are present, great tones and textures, cool changes, beautifully finessed playing- Classic sounding, but modern and hip at the same time. Hahn and St. James create magic together. Their voices blend effortlessly on "Lost Girls" and their solo guitars on "The Big Font Yard" seem to complete each others phrases. Echo Junkies are here. . .
